Craig has presented and featured as a resident expert on hundreds of programmes for the BBC. Programmes have been shown on the BBC worldwide including BBC One, BBC Two, BBC America and the BBC Asian Network via BBC Prime. Many of these shows have also been subsequently shown by UKTV Style and acquired by stations in countries worldwide as far afield as Korea and New Zealand.
In addition Craig has also appeared as a guest on various shows on the BBC Network, BBC’s North West Tonight programme and BBC Breakfast.
Craig’s also heard regularly participating in countless radio interviews with BBC Radio stations across the country.
Shows to date
Housecall – Ran for 235 one hour live show’s on a daily basis for BBC which found Craig working alongside a team of interior designers, gardeners, antiques experts and top chef’s providing everyday lifestyle tips. Housecall ran for 8 series and led on to a spin off series Housecall in the Country. Craig’s colleagues on the shows included; Colin Ryan & Justin McAllister, James Martin, Gordon Whistance, Oz Clarke, Lowri Turner, Kathryn Rayward, Trinny Woodall, John Amabile, Paul Haines, Suzi Perry, Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen, Kate Silverton, Claire Balding and Mark Evans
Trading Up – Found Craig along with designers Colin Ryan, Justin McAllister & Gordon Whistance, visiting over 85 locations across the UK changing peoples lives by transforming the interiors of their home into modern trendy homes and making them more appealing and marketable to potential buyers. The series showed many ways of how to spend a little and gain a lot on the finished property price. Each show involved an expert valuation on the properties before and after the team arrive. The follow up series Trading Up In The Sun saw the team take on 10 properties throughout Europe.
Big Strong Boys – Craig led a team with former footballer Stewart Castledine and heroic adventurer Debra Veal visiting hundreds of households throughout the UK solving the public’s DIY disasters. The show was extremely well received and the team were asked to visit British citizen’s properties throughout Europe.
Builders, Sweat & Tears – Craig and the team from Big Strong Boy’s were reunited once again to travel the length and breadth of the UK to put right even more of the publics DIY disasters – this time on a bigger scale, solving bigger problems. It wasn’t long before the team were commissioned to take on further Brit’s homes throughout Europe.
Housetrapped – Craig and interior designer Gordon Whistance volunteered themselves to be confined in a member of the public’s house, shut off from the outside world, there only form of contact was via their 1 hour daily live show. The guys lived with the family who owned the house and couldn’t leave the property for 7 days by which time they had fully re-designed and decorated it internally adding value to the property.
Craig’s Trade Tips – Commissioned by BBC Educational, this was a series of 5 minute daily mathematics workshop tips to help encourage people not to use a calculator when working out sizes and quantities of building materials for various tasks. For example, working out how many 6 inch tiles are required for one square metre. Episodes were shown live on BBC TV and subsequently online.
