Building trade shows & homes shows

Craig is often asked to appear at homes shows aimed at the general public and trade show´s aimed specifically at construction industry professionals; to provide suitable building demonstrations designed to be both informative and entertaining to visitors.

He is also confident with hosting and/or judging construction challenge competitions, along with delivering property development seminars.

Construction Demonstrations

Craig has appeared across the UK and Northern Ireland entertaining and educating packed audiences with his construction skills, he has even appeared in the front window of Harrod´s to give live demonstrations alongside Mohammad Al Fayed!

Just some of the activities Craig can demonstrate include; laminate flooring, floor and wall tiling, shelf making, bricklaying, plastering, various woodwork/carpentry demonstrations including making a 4 poster bed, decking, flagging and various garden/exterior based demonstrations also.

Each demonstration is tailored to be visually entertaining for audiences but also regardless of the actual demonstration and content, lots of useful information in terms of safety, correct use of tools and differing construction methods/techniques is shown and thoroughly explained; all of this can be applied to most tasks people may need to do at home and tasks trade professionals do everyday.

Craig´s instant recognition is a crowd puller for show visitors to demonstration areas and his natural simple presenting style brings clarity in the delivery of key information. Craig of course also spends time on behalf of clients before and during events to speak to members of the press and participate in photo calls to help raise further awareness of show attractions.

Host and Judge at Building Trade Events

Comfortable and highly confident with hosting and judging live at building trade events Craig has most notably hosted and judged ´Test The Trades´ a mixture of practical time-clock team challenges and quick fire questions relating to different key trades held at Interbuild the UK´s longest running event on the construction calendar.

The competition held at the NEC in Birmingham sees 4 teams compete head to head under common test condition´s to the prestigious Interbuild title of Britain´s Most Professional Trade.

The challenge was held for 1 day in 2006 and joining Craig on stage to judge was Robin Hood-Leader Director of Membership at the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) as 4 teams battled it out. In 2007 the challenge was bigger and better than ever as teams of students and staff from South Birmingham College went head to head over 5 days this time Craig judged and hosted.
